I am only familiar with the Fat Chocobo in FF7, which actually was the Choco/Mog Summon, and like, was just random to do a Fat Chocobo and yes, in FF7 all it did was fall from the sky, and squish stuff with its butt.

Personally I would love to see Phoenix added. I wouldn't care much if he was a 2 hr or summonable to stay out. 2 hr-type might make more sense for this one to do an AoE r2-3 for maybe an entire alliance even. Phoenix will also do some heavy fire-type dmg to the monster as well while raising people. AoE R3 may sound a bit too strong but R2 AoE sounds a little more reasonable with this.

"Looks at sig" GD someone has been putting in over time in Abyssea lol

Lets be reasonable here. Lots of people all ready complain about how pet jobs pet's mess up their running....So could you imagine something like Bahamut trailing behind you? Thats HUGE! Let alone the MP cost would have to be huge as well! Diabolos cost 15 MP a tick...Bahamut would probably cost 30 MP a tick..And it's moves would eat a lot more MP then the other avatars. Even with Atmas it would be ok to use it, but out side of Abyssea I can for see problems. I doubt the gods of FF will make it where it would be out all the time anyways. Kinda sad though....Bahamut is in Apoc Nigh as the final boss, Dark Ixion in the past, a light ixion (Indrik) in Abyssea Ulegurand Range, and even Pandemonium in the completion for ZNMs. So how about something out side the box and we dont have. LOL How about Absolute Virtue?

HMM THIS GUYS RIGHT!!! how bout something outside the box. Like Boogerman, or Handiman (from In Living Color) how about just summoning Sephiroth and be done with it.

LOL If Handiman would give me more room in my MH, I would be all for it. LOL My thinking was actually this. Most of the avatars you have to fight inside the ruby crystal and Carby dictates it all....Until recently. Diablos you can only get if you do CoP, and Oden and Alexander if you complete ToAU...Which in a way it's not the same as if getting Garuda or Shiva. All the other NM like Kirin can not be summoned. So I was thinking breathing new life in old areas. On Ifrit, Sea is dead....Sky is dead....No one does Dyna....It's all Abyssea. I mean Faf can be up for days until someone decides to kill it. Plus AV is a pain in the rump to kill, and so is Pandemonium, even at 90. So I was thinking mroe about breathing new life in old areas to get people interested in those areas again....though it would be for a very short time.

I think Siren would make a good addition to smn, Make it the enfeeble summon like some people want,give it abilities to evoke silent, bind, paralyze, and amnesia, Like how nightmare is for diabolos, also give it Ward that buff resistance to those types of enfeeblements, as for BP to do damage make it a non-elemental type with a chance to lower a certain resistance to a enfeeblement. As for a 2hr, I don't know what would be a good one.

Bahamut but I am sure there is something about ps2 limtations or something, I think SE they would not do it because its too big.

that was long ago ( i can't remember if SE or players said that though) before alex and odin came out.

SE said sometime ago that they wanted Bahamut to remain a God and he would never be a summon. Although I agree it would be the best choice!

EDIT: Either way it's about perception. I don't want us to argue in a thread about summons! What about Valefor? Or is Garuda ff11's version of Valefor?

No? Valefor does non elemental damage. Garuda does air damage....?

I'd like to see any Non-elemental damage Non-2h only avatar, or a stronger light based one than carbuncle.

They can make a XI original Moogle Avatar.

Up to FF11 almost (if not all) summoners had Bahamut, there were even 3 versions in FF7. Though its true that the one from the COP storyline is huge, it can be resized and im all for that (<3 Bahamut)

I didnt use Atomos much in FF9 but it would be nice to have it implemented.

Agreed, Bahamut as an Astral Flow Specific Avatar. Uses Mega Flare with maybe an Additional effect: Terrorize for xx amount of time. I feel Ixion could have been a Free Roam Avatar also while on the subject. Hell, Jumbo Cactuar would make an excellent Astral Flow Specific Avatar even. Of course there will be resistance still to the Astral Flow they use. But that's my opinion atleast.

Bahamut is a terrestial avatar, just like Diabolos and Carbuncle. He's just bigger. Besides, summoners don't summon the avatar in all their glory, just a shade of them. So the argument against Bahamut falls flat on both fronts. I'd like to see more of the other elements in play: Kujata for earth, Siren for water, Phoenix for light, Typhon for wind, Quetzalcoatl for thunder, Ymir for ice. I'm not big on possible summons that are merely just big physical entities, avatars have a huge mystical element attached to them, just having a giant cactuar seems out of place. On the Tonberry aspect, you could have Uggalepih instead, although she'd be dark based most likely.
