Just talked to the festive moogle, still no hat :(
It would seem I have no hat either... It seems more like they announced they're aware of the problem instead of -actually- fixing it... Maybe they fixed it on test server or something awkward like that?

Hopefully it won't be as long to completely figure it out now that they've managed to fix it for some people.
This entire thing is ridiculous. Destrier Berets were given out to the people who should get them, and everything was working fine. Then SE decided to "fix" this, with a patch on the 27th of June.
Except New Method should actually read: Hahahaha! You aren't getting the item! Seriously, if it isn't broke, don't fix it! Why why WHY would SE feel the need to do this? And how could they botch the whole thing so badly?Quote:

Hey guys, I made a thread yesterday about still not being able to get the Beret after the fix, but I tried again today and I was able to get it! Just wanted to let you know to keep trying, it might take a day or two but you might get them soon!
Still no beret for me either. This is getting ridiculous.

Is there really no progress on this fix? It is evident by that people who are putting in the registration codes are receiving the item now, but what about those of us whom have turned in the registration code and are still waiting for the redemption?!
I will be petitioning Steam for a refund due to false advertising.
Nine days of waiting for something that should have come with my initial purchase. It was also the reason for the purchase. The low level game is changed completely by this item.
To be totally clear, you guys are doing it like this, right?
0) Turn off NoScript if you are using Firefox.
1) Log in to Account Services
2) Select Service below the "Services and Options" header on the left.
3) Select FFXI.
4) Select "Add a service account"
5) Enter your code
6) Pick the account and character
7) Visit the Festive Moogle in game to claim your reward.
* Port Bastok (J-13)
* Port Sandy (J-10)
* Windy Walls (C-14)
There are several steps there that are easy to miss (like not turning off NoScript, expecting the beret to be in your D-box, and not being able to figure out that "Add a service account" actually means "Redeem my reward code.")

Absolutely. I've assigned the code to the character I'm requesting the item. I'm trying Windurst Walls for the Festive Moogle.
And that moogle says he has nothing for me.

I'm using Bastok, myself. Maybe we have to go to San d'Oria. :p
I called square enix and they confirmed that I have correctly applied the Beret code to my main character (only have one) and still nothing. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING SE!!

My friend was able to get her hat right after the patch where as I am still waiting. She entered her code before the patch like I did which was about...2 weeks ago. I entered my code about a day before her. So I'm still waiting.
I've got the same problem. Registered the code for the item before the patch (23rd July) but the Festive Moogle is still telling me that he has nothing for me.

It's not a game-ruining experience or anything, but it's an item that was promised to me upon purchase of the game. As a low-level adventurer the buffs would be quite handy. :/
By posting here, will Squenix look into my character or do I need to make a report thread as well?

I called support today after the announcement the problem has been fixed and asked the operator about it, he told me there still isn't an ETA and that the problem is still an active one. Right now it's an issue of the customer's patience, whether we are willing to make a big deal about a small pivotal item.
Uh for paying it yea I am going make a big deal. Starting completely fresh in this game is not an easy task and many of us returned to the game with completely blank slates expecting to have some help out. SE needs to compensate us for the money we payed.
I started out fresh with you a few weeks ago, while juggling my time with work and FFXIV (my primary game), I've managed to level to the point where the Beret isn't useful for me. Of course I would have loved to have the item while leveling, but ideally that wasn't possible due to SE having issues with this.
