FFXI Withdraws Yet?

I miss it but at the sametime im enjoying the break i don't feel like im "wasting free time" when im not logged in to do something like i do when the servers are up lol

Con: Spastic twitching of addicted players spamming login and potentially being comatose by the time things are functional again.

I do miss it. FFXI's new short attention span content was perfect for bleeding off the daily grind of work.

i just came back after a 2 year hiatus played 2 days got one foot in the door on abyssea started a magian trial weapon...im thinkin "ok i can get back into this, why didnt i sooner; ;" then boom desaster strikes ; ; and now we are all feeling the ripples of that Quake, and i would like to take this moment to bow to my sensei....FFxi /bow i am addicted to thee, have mercy ; ; and get well soon <3 miss u. /cuddles with his old ps2 40G hdd box that he got when ffxi first came to U.S. ...

I just came back a little over a month ago and since then I banged up my knee at work. I'm out of work for the time being and then boom, FFXI needs to go down :( It's really difficult to set up a PS3 with a dog running around you and 1 good leg. Must...master...technique

i was just getting back and was gonna log on and go do some stuff like get my SMN up then Elizara sends me a msg (she's one of my friends in-game) and she said the servers are down because of the earthquake and they need to conserve power and i couldn't log into POL anywayz, but i pray for everyone in Japan who is going through this whole ordeal, let's help our neighbours in Japan

Are you serious? I had LITERALLY JUST resubbed the week this all happened. It's like I was just freshly injected with the needle and they took my medicine right back from me. And it was a new flavor too!

Yea im having withdrawals- and after reading these forums- im having withdrawals from players that actually realize this is a math based game and the casual idiot who gets a sack in some shell that does know its head from abyssea. <and by abyssea i mean ass for those that are a bit slower to comprehend>All i have to say is hello SE, look how many subcribers you had back when as compared to now. Easy mode does not = more money.Although easy mode is nice and lets the people who actually understand the game to roflstomp those who dont =D

Yeah, I can definetly tell I'm going through withdrawl presently, /guilty. Been a little bit crabby today as well, but suppose it is for the better. Gives me a chance to play other games, and get caught up on my schoolwork! Finally beat FF13 last night (bought it back in late June, just now finished it lol), got tons of other games to play as well. So.. it's not all bad, and with the way things are going over their with the nuclear crisis, I doubt we'll be back on XI or XIV anytime in the near future. Maybe it truly is for the best. Every news report I see just gets me so depressed, wish there was something more we could do as a populous aside from donating money to the relief efforts =/

My only concern was the night before, my wife decided she wanted to play after watching me since I had just come back last month. We got it all downloaded off D2D and installed that night. The night the Server message came up she was still updating her game. Next morning, game updated, servers down. I literally did a >_> face at her lol

I typed /shutdown to try and turn off my computer. lol

I just keep thinking about the day when they do open the servers back up. Can you imagine? Abyssea is going to be like 37 Black Fridays all in one. People will be calling in sick to work. Weddings will be missed. Babies being born will be postponed. Yes. People would rather be constipated with a fetus than to miss the reopening of XI.
I may not log in for an extra week just to avoid the crowds and the mess of things. (yeah right)

The closest thing to withdraw I've experienced so far has been getting onto the computer and moving the mouse over the FFXI icon and remember "oh yeah, I can't play."

Frankly, I'm more worried about what's happening in Japan at the moment. Spiking radiation levels that are reaching even Tokyo is pretty scary.

going on day 4 now. im hanging in there pretty well. mainly worried about the nuclear situation. feel better that SE has gave us an update on the update, atleast they are keeping us informed of something.

I do like this game, but come on people Real Life is so much more important than a game go live it lol. I usually play this game when im chilling out, saving money, or tired from working all day. Awesome game and probably on my top favorite games, but seriously go live out ur RL fo real, having withdraws on a videogame /facepalm.

Still missing the game. And looks like it will be for quite a bit longer. However, it isn't wrecking me. I'm sure we'll lose some of the population to other games. It won't be me leaving since I will never, ever get involved with another MMORPG. I do want to be one of the first people to log back in when the servers come up. I'm curious what a long time vacated world will look like.

I miss the game!!! Redbox loves me I have watched more movies then I have in a year.:p

I've finally had the opportunity to start watching the Hero's seasons on netflix.. so I guess its productive to an extent not having FFXI

I had a dream i woke up and was playing ffxi and i was the only one who could get on, lol

not so much withdrawl from the game itself as withdrawl from the teasing banter between my friends/LS members and myself.

I never realized how little interest i had in all the other games i had till this happened... Its not b/c of the game ... though i miss my verathagna i worked so hard to get and am almost halfway done with stage 1 masamune... i miss the friends from all the different countries/states that i dont talk to every day. The reason i like ffxi so much was b/c i have made so many close friends... thats what i will be most excited to be back to.. Ive kicked some serious stuff in my time.. this is harder than anything lol.... Hope for a speedy recovery over there! so much support from all over the world even if just in prayers!

decided to complete FFVI so not so bad, still wish i could be working on my Almace/af3+2 tho. Its just like being seperated from a gf or something for a while, you know as soon as servers come back up you are gonna play the shit out of it lol xD
