Problem with this is that the items in question are already easy enough to get because of the drop rate adjustments, even the Hydra gear is now. On the other hand, some groups do have bad luck with a specific piece (similar to how THF hands or RDM hat used to be in Xarc). So if they did add this feature, it'd be nice to see it along the same lines as a Nyzul 100 floor boss - the job that entered has a 100% drop rate on their weapon. Have the job of whoever traded the Hieroglyphics have something relating to the job be 100%, whether it's -1 or Hydra (or both, with the Hydra piece being random between the 5 possibilities). It's simple enough that would encourage a few people to do Diabolos, but wouldn't be game-breaking enough to create a spammed zone situation.
Either way I still view it as unnecessary, but if they did add anything at all, I think this would probably be the best way to go about it. Randomized Af, -1 or Hydra from all the zones possible drops would suck. Completely new gear would, as GG said earlier, either suck or make the zone itself suck from being spammed by everyone depending on the item in question. And making it powerful is unlikely as the zone is (currently) level 75 content. I'm not a fan of level 75 content dropping newer, more powerful gear that would be game breaking now. If they redo the CoP areas, this would hold a bit more water as something to argue for - but most people are guessing that Dynamis isn't being upped in challenge, just being more player/lowman/casual friendly and I See no reason why that would be different if they redid CoP zones. (I'll admit we don't know enough yet to say for certain they're not going to revamp the difficulty, but it seems a fair assessment of the facts we've been given thus far).
