Supposedly you can XP at lower levels in Escha-Zitah but I haven't tried it myself. You'd have the added benefit of building up your Silt reserves as well.

You need to check the "gifts" section, even if all JP options were terrible you still need gifts since they basically allows you character to "grow" beyond level 99, stats wise. Though I suppose Aigis and DT are more important?
Getting JP as a PLD shouldn't be too hard since you should be able to get into an Apex party. Don't forget to do Lair, Colonization, Wildskeepers as well Missions RoE, they give 1-3% CP bonus each and they ALL stack.
Aptitude Mantle is good when CP'ing for further bonuses.
You can buy Capacity Rings with sparks for further bonuses.
Kupofried and Vana clock give CP bonus. Also Trizek ring. Check out other thread.
Mog Garden cheers also give CP bonus, though it may look a bit scary at first, it's actually a pretty automated process once you get the hang of it.
I think it really depends what you're fighting and what trusts are available to you. The Narakas and Panopts certainly were more difficult, but the Faazes are pretty popular to fight and at least seem easier than, for example, the Chappulis. Think you need in the neighborhood of 1050 accuracy to hit the Faazes consistently. In addition, some trusts like King of Hearts (don't know which you have, but just as an example) will use Distract to lower evasion. I believe Koru-Moru does as well, and he is now free via Records of Eminence quests. Shantotto II, who is currently available, strictly builds TP with magical attacks, so she never "misses". She also always attempts to close level 2 and level 3 skillchains and will subsequently double magic burst them. Iroha II will often perform double light skillschains. Couple that with trusts like Adelheid or Arciela II, they pretty much finish off enemies for you.
Only problem I perceive with Faazes is that I can really only identify two safe places to "camp" them if you're not comfortable running around mobs that aggro. The first is around the bridge at #2. And second is by the roadside graves a short walk from #3. On occasion, they will also kill your tank trust if they use Barreling Smash and your healer isn't quick about curing them.
You can pretty much get EXP anywhere you can kill stuff. with trusts, you can kill even relatively strong enemies (compared to yourself) pretty well and you get a lot of exp, so just look around and see what feels best.
You should be doing at least enlight effect which is 210 JP to cap out. Palisade blockrate is another good one unless you have Ochain as that gives 20% more block rate when Palisade is up. If you ever need to use Intervene you get a 40% dmg boost from that which is a large increase and could be the difference between the mob dying or not. Sentinel gives you +20 to enmity during it which isn't all that bad. The rest are meh but you still do get gifts which give various things like acc/atk/def/JT increases. Drg JP are worse so...
Edit: Didn't notice there was a 2nd page where this was answered, oh well haha.
1-15 Area outside your hometown
15-30/35 Gusgen Mines (first skeletons right at the front later on go further in down stairs and kill flies etc)
30/35-49 Crawlers nest
49-90 Escha Zitah will very easily get you to 90. Change camp every 9-10 levels.
90-99 Ceizak Battlegrounds Mandys
With double xp campaign and 1-3 XP rings you can easily make 1-99 in some hours.
