I've closed mine a few times and whenever i log back in it does Check files, Up to date,t hen can't play during maintenance...

from what I have read, the NA client is locked out. if you have the EU client, you can login.

While I don't agree with the JP onry comment(there are people online on my flist that I know are not JP), I do agree that they're being really shady by not even making a post explaining that they've extended the maintenance. It's a free 10 day period, that is obviously being done to attract old players, like myself, into subbing for another month or two. This type of nonsense does nothing but hurt their chances at anything like that happening.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. It says Maintenance for me still, 4h after Maintenance should have been over.

I have the NA Client.

Each time I start Final Fantasy XI, instead of "Play", I get "Check Version". After check version I get "The game is unavailable for play during maintenance."

Locked out too. NA client. I'd switch to an EU one if I thought it'd be done updating in time to actually be worth it.

Pretty sure the EU client is locked out aswell. Seeing as my client is EU, and i get the same error.

I'm EU, currently on an xbox, but a EU friend was logged on, on a PC after maintenance for a short while. 158 people online now

Has this happened before?

having the same issue, NA player back from very ....very long time away. was actually thinking of subbing again(and actually completing content that i couldn't before) but now idk. been enjoying it though mostly. nostalgia.
