What's the best path for Ophidian Trident, out of curiosity? Just depends on if gonna be pure DD or not?

Pretty much, but if your able to obatin ophidian start setting your sights on upukirex it's one of the best out there barring ryu when it comes to face melting damage as a drg.

Its new stats are going to look like this, barring any changes:

Ophidian Trident
DMG:181 Delay:396
DEX+8 VIT+8
Accuracy+18
Polearm skill+153 Parrying skill+153
Wyvern: Accuracy bonus

With that in mind, the accuracy is probably not needed and you might as well go full out attack.

2 upgrades into attack, and wait til you get to kill the boss, rather than wasting your gil on any further upgrades for just 1 att or 1 acc bonus.
You're much better off upgrading the equipment rather than the weapons (particularly the gear that doesn't have anything that beats it already, yet)
