You keep saying 'bestial nature' here and there but that just reeks of BLU story, and this just looks like some sort of BLU/BST thrown together.

To shut them up, you should remove the magic based aspect and make it melee/ranged depending on form.

This is one of the few things a ffxi job can't do yet. A shapeshifter would be a welcome addition to our job list imo. I imagine it being similar to WoW's druid, having forms for melee, tanking, and casting. BST controls beasts, BLU mimics beasts' attacks, and this class would become beasts. Sounds different enough to me.

HOWEVER, this idea is one of the better that I've seen and it would be cool to have.
