Ok, well that does kinda look bad, looks like this staff might not be all it should be ;;

The only reason I mention it is because it's consistent 4k's, not even random numbers, but even 4000 after 4000.

What Atmas you using Wint?

Beyond, Merciless Matriarch, and Minikin. The previous day I had the same exact setup except for the HQ Ice Staff and was getting well over 4000, 4700 at one point. I don't remember the elemental day however. Hopefully when staff prices come back down I can do some comparisons.

Well damn. Two marks(no att/ratk boooo!!!) against it in my book now, though even the few inventory slots i got back still pulling ahead.

What MAB?

No ele staff ever had +MAB on them. They just had affinity+1/2 which where direct 10/15% damage bonus's.

I don't want to assume, but does this staff also lower all the prep costs for Avatars by the respected value of -2/-3?

The new staff's damage bonus is calculated like maigan staves--it is additive to atma affinity, not multiplicative. The 4000 vs 4700 works out to be about right for the 4700 being on iceday with a twilight cape. On iceday, the new staff should do ~5000.
