I did read the entire thread before I responded, so please refrain from making needless rude comments.

The time that I clicked the thread and the time I made the post were far apart.

I guess the ticket system will make Qilin 1% more appealing, since there will be one more possible thing to sell.

I doubt enough tickets will ever come into existence to change the value and thus price of the crafted equivalents by a large amount, particularly considering how valued and thus expensive the tickets themselves will likely be.

The point still remains that this was SE's attempt to make these items more obtainable to the general gaming public. where it will most assuredly not.
Can we get a dev responce on why simply increasing the drop rates from voidwatch was not possible?

No this is an attempt to make it look like they are making an attempt to make an attempt. They intend for it to do almost nothing because the only thing that gives VW any replay value at all is the fact that you never get what you want. If we got what we want there would need to be new content for people to do which there is not.

Because they don't actually want to make these more obtainable to the public. The faster people get shiny's the faster they'll want something "more" to do and the faster SE will be expected to create "something". The ticket system is a way to keep people fighting the same NMs ever after they got their gear, it's an incentive to keep doing content they've already done. Getting more toci's is a side effect of the update, not the main point.

I don't even know what a body ticket would have to sell for to convince me to join a VW shout specifically for a chance at a ticket. Maybe 40mil. The odds of getting one are so low it's not even worth it for any less than that imo. I don't think this has much to do with encouraging people to keep doing old VW fights. It's all about pretending to half listen to what people have been justifiably complaining about for the past year but not really fixing the issue at all.

prices should and probably will be around the 2-3mil range for most tickets with the akavan body and kaggen bodys being higher due to SCH SCH SCH get ya embrava gear!

the the way its been said on this might make the VW burn out happen quicker... this is a way to give people who seem to be lucky enough to get good drops a way to make more money... which is horrible game design to encourage it last longer.

another thing, whats with SE's translators, google seems to do a better job and is quicker.

I don't think rewarding people for helping other, intentionally or incidentally, is horrible game design. I do think they could have done more though, adding a flat 5% at least to the equipment drops would be nice.

I was excited about the idea of a ticket system before I read this post. However, this announcement betrays my expectations in two big ways:

1.) It seems as though only the sparkly gear pieces will be tradable for tickets. This is so stupid unless they were to somehow change the drop rates on some items. It might benefit T3 Zilart runs a tiny bit (IF the tickets are universal). I was under the impression that I could trade 200 Mantis Eyes and 100 Houyi's Gorgets and receive a single Delphinius, and I was alright with it. It seems as though Mantis Eyes and Houyi's Gorgets will be just as useless as before.

2.) The fact that they are tradable struck me as game-breaking, but then I realized that so few tickets will exist because nobody who already has a body piece will even care enough to go searching for tickets. I guess this part isn't a big deal after all.

Regardless: Square-Enix, I am disappoint.
