[dev1065] Petition for removal of item requirement for R/M/E upgrades

Just made my account on the official forums to support this petition. Something needs to be done here. Two things will happen here.

1: Very few players will be able to attain the requirements.
2: SOME players that want it done will resort to buying gil to pay the absolutley disgusting price tag that will go along with the ADL and PW items.

SE u need to fix this or just tell us straight out we don't want XI around anymore....

The developers won't listen to us, we've already made it clear that we're disgusted with this trial

the ONLY way you can hurt them, is by showing them how much money they will lose if they implemented this trial

as i was always taught ACTION speaks louder than words so ideally you'll need to do some form of protest.....

We should all fly down to Tokyo where SE's office is located and do a public protest there. It's the only way to be sure at this point, right? ...right?

In the hopes that we all can finish our weapon trials in a manner that doesn't require time ad infinitum, and in a way which all players can participate and benefit, I wholeheartedly support the OP.

I'm not sure how effective a boycott from the NA player base will ever be. Anyone who is bi-lingual know if there are similar outrages expressed in the JP forums?

As I have said before, these trials are stupid and should be reworked.

So SE nuked the other thread because they know that we are right................ Just goes to show you they don't listen to us.

Probably nuked it because they don't want to argue about it any further feeling they have caved enough by making it what it is now. There was no reason for it to be nuked outright when it was the primary source of feedback between community reps and player. Unless people made it so far off topic in the last few pages they felt it was in need of it.

honestly the last time i read it a lot of peeps had calmed down, we were still calling the trials idiotic but in much nicer terms and some were even beginning to resign themselves to this trial format and numbers, they began giving feed back that would make spamming ADL or generally acquiring umbral marrow tolerable.

not saying its impossible but the general tone of those threads didn't seem to be heading in an uncontrolled and inflammatory direction, beginning to get fed up with all of this.

I don't know what to say then. Any viable excuse I can think of as to why it would be outright nuked out of existence doesn't seem to fit, and I would guess expecting a response from the community rep as to why is about as fruitless.

I sign on to this petition, but with some of the bad excuses we got as to why they aren't going to change the trial I'm not hopeful. Granted I didn't agree with Abyssea being too easy...but I certainly don't want XI going back to the old grind it was for gear either....I just can't justify spending so much time at the grinder for something anymore. Xi isn't just turning me away, but away from any MMO/MMORPG period and I've been playing since NA release......all the grinding just isn't fun anymore after almost 10 years of it.
