Break is infuriating.

Break is awesome. It's lower casting time and on a different recast timer than Sleep. It also seems to work on mobs that are resistant or immune to sleep, such as undead. It's an extra tool in the crowd control arsenal. What you seem to want is the capacity to shut down mobs and get free hits. That's just silly.

Why is that silly? That's exactly what mobs do to us! It's not a lot of free hits we want anyway. It'd probably not be more than about 3 gaxe melee swings before you broke through the "breakskin", or a single nuke.

Of course the player version is going to function differently, it's always been that way. Coeurl's Blaster paralyze effect was always significantly more potent than anything a player could inflict, this is nothing new.

People need to stop thinking of it as a petrification effect, because it's really just an earth-based sleep spell.

Then call it something else other than the move that scorpions use against players.

I use break when i am between sleeps mostly, or recently collecting zeni i would break pre-using the camera so if it woke before the "use" timer was up nothing would move.

Other main use i have for it is getting pearl lights when i'm soloing on blm, nuke to almost dead. load up on DoT's break, wait for it to die. pre-landed DoT's dont 'wake' break.. just how I use break anyway.
