It was standard to be booted out of an EXP party with gear that is even marginally gimp. (Oh wait, that still happens).

PLD's used to tank... once upon a time.

Red Mages used to pull.

Mobs did not "depop" after zoning, and would return to their designated areas regardless how far away they were. This would then send every man and their dog (or woman) to the zone also, simply to avoid the legion of Goblins that would be marching through the zone killing any unsuspecting victims. (Especially fishing / logging / mining bots). MPK was normal, amusing, and extremely fun.

(Not sure if any of these have been said as I only read the first page, and only skim read it at that).

Actualy, you can still MPK the lowbies with goblin diggers, they don't despawn because they don't have a set area to return to.

I miss all the random shouts for getting shit done...

shouts for skill-up parties, mission completion, BCNMs, KSNMs, even ISNMs.... Salvage, Nyzul Isle, etc... you'll occasionally see a few shouts for Nyzul gear floors but not a whole lot for floor climbs.

I rember quite a few times I'd get a random invite on RDM, (years later, COR too sometimes) within seconds of logging in. If I put my /inv flag up 99% chance I'd have a party within a minute.

Yeah the quick tele thing for sure... a lot of people had 37WHM/18BLM levelled up on their mains or their mules specifically so they could teleport and warp as quickly as possible... Lol if u were trying to tele-taxi you'd have to be really quick to /pcmd add "whoever" before anyone else could so that you'd get to do the tele. Thats how fast you could get a tele lol...

I miss KRT bones parties (5x MNK burn, RDM or WHM), RNG burn on Lufaise... I had fun in Ule. Range, not so much fun in Bibiki Bay although I remember partying their and selling the Airtanks that dropped so people could get Bugbear pops (remember Rutter Sabatons lol?)

Hell not going back very long at all - I miss bird parties in ToAU as COR... it was expensive as hell but I always dual wielded my joyeuse and mkris and I spammed the hell out of quickdraws and slug shots on those poor colibiri, esp after they gave us TP on QD shots.

18.) When you visited Windurst, You use to be able to see a lot of Tarutaru's Buttsliding. "You know who you are!"

19.*) Galka <Race>: They set out on a journey to climb a high mountain and await their final moments. Their, guided by a magnificent light, They gain a new body, and with that body climbs down from the mountain. A movie was made after knowing this.

20.) Mobs AOE use to effect others w/o being in said parties, outcome came to full party wipes cause Mages can't wake anyone up as to they were asleep, Kazam's area use to be the worst, Mandies Dream Flower Ability, Use to hit bypassers putting them to sleep on Chocobo's. -Bul (Carbuncle) thanks!

21.) People curing a crafter use to break someone's crafting so people would hide in their Mog House to craft. Chronofantasy Thanks!

22.) People used to die by massive trains of monsters at the entrance of a place called "Garlaige Citadel"...horribly, This is just one of many areas as to where this whould happen. Raka Thanks!

23.) Deodorize "Spell" was mostly used as a joke. Dubberrucky Thanks!

24.) It use to be easy to find a Tele-taxi in Jeuno very fast and easy. Nataskille Thanks!

here's a couple of things I bet most people don't remember.

you used to not lose exp in dynamis (it was a total mess, people just killing themselves over and over and over lol)

aftermath duration and scaling for 100 tp, 200 tp, and 300tp used to be double the duration that it is now.

Riding a chocobo used to cost over a grand~ (thank God they changed that!)
