i recently came back to the game but i'm on the mission Windy 3-2 and i can't seem to ever find help to get past the mage gate i was hoping someone might be able to help me with it I'm on Bismark server

If you haven't already your best bet is to join one of the active linkshells and ask for help that way.
You can also start the quest Toraimari Turmoil which will allow you to bypass the gate by entring Toraimari Canal from Windurst Walls, although it is a one way path. You can then get the home point near Full Moon Fountain whenever you need to be on the other side of the gate.
