It has distracted us, lied and manipulated us and brought us all this misfortune in the first place. Sure, I would gladly take my money back, but I would like for the game to come to a final closure. While I certainly wish SE would invest more resources in the game, I still don't regret the money and time I've spent with it.

Not entirely sure how FFXI stole my money. I pay for it of my own free will. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't play it. It's pretty simple.

Even XIV, I like it enough to pay for it. For now.

I paid for the PS2 Everquest--EQOA. Want to talk about wasting money for no return... Only the base game and one expansion over I think 5 or more years.

I paid money for Rift until I got "lucky" and it went FTP.

I paid money for LOTRO for the initial start up (not sure about now but for $30 bucks total for 3 months, it opened up a LOT of things that remained even when the subscription ended) and went FTP.

Did I waste money on this stuff...depends on when you ask me and my mood I guess. Did all those games "steal" it from me? Not at all.

Two games for sure that I feel are worth the money: FFXI and LOTRO (as I remember it...it's been awhile). XIV is borderline for me. Rest either got shut down or are FTP.
