Looking for a group

I am a returning player to FFXI but I am starting over from scratch, I am hoping to find a linkshell that welcomes returning players.

There are NPCs in each main city, a Linkshell Concierge, who hand out pearls on behalf of linkshells looking for members. Visit one of these NPCs

• Northern San d'Oria (K-9)
• Bastok Mines (K-9)
• Windurst Walls (C-14)

and you can find LSes looking for people like you easily.

I tried that but each time I got a pearl it was broken and it won't let me get more than 1 a day.

Like, already broken? or broken after you used it?

If it's the former, the linkshell itself must have been broken after it was listed.

Finding a good linkshell from the concierge requires a little bit of trial and error. You can get 1 pearl from the concierge per game day. I don't know if this is one from each concierge or if it's shared across all of them. If you get a dud (broken, nobody in it), write down the name of the linkshell so you don't pick it again, then try again next game day.
