Remove the logout timer in towns.

There is no reason to have a 30 second logout in towns as there is in the open world, it's just annoying.

Players that have a large number of alt characters to get gobbie box items have to endure 30 second logouts on each one, every time, every day. There is a financial incentive to encourage players to want to do this, 30 second logouts go against this.

I get that it's probably difficult to differentiate between zones for normal logout but how about adding a new "/flogout" text logout command that only works in capital city zones?

Just use the box next to the Mog House, like Windurst Walls for an example, instant logout once inside.

I think the 30 second timer should be removed everywhere. even 20 years ago it was dumb. Log out and drop hate, who cares.

30 second logout is most likely a synchronization method to the server.

No, in combat areas it has a purpose, so you can't log out in combat to avoid death / strip hate etc. Basically if you're not in a safe enough position to be able to wait 30 seconds then it's not okay to log out instantly.

But, of course, you cared enough to comment and make a childish post about it. Ultimately the ability to exploit logging out for combat advantage / death avoidance is the very reason you can't log out instantly. The original idea was about logging out in town areas, where death is not normally possible outside of being poisoned or otherwise KO'd by a status. In such places, it is not an issue.

It's explotable and it has a reason to exist elsewhere.

A pointless reason that no longer matters.

Exp penalty is all but non existent and fast travel makes a death moot. it's merely an annoyance for the sake of annoyance in all instances.

It has nothing to do with EXP penalties.
