unable to receive Quadav Crest on mule account

My mule Sestolemyname gets to the ??? between the torches and clicks on it and gets a message "you find nothing" . What gives got the message for KI shining brightly opening the door. Not sure what could be missing on him name used to be Aule but was forced to change it during Seraph merger thus the current name.

Well seems that I must have been at least this far on Aule before the merger as I already had the crest in Temp KIs. So problem is I received the Whence the Wind blows quest when I shouldn't as that quest should have been active and not given to me again.
