Need a reccomendation

Hello, I recently purchased a new computer and it came pre-installed with windows 10. I have read online that there is compatibility issues when running ffxi with this version of windows. I have experienced a lot of crashes trying to log on despite disabling all anti-virus programs. When it does allow me to log on it seems to work fine although I have experienced random crashes after playing a while.

My question is should I downgrade and purchase windows 7? Which would be the best version of windows 7 for compatibility? I'm also wondering since I read that there is also compatibility issues with certain AMD chipsets if this is an issue for my setup. I'm currently using AMD Radeon R7 200 series set.

I just want to be able to run the game smoothly without crashes-any recommendations/insights are greatly appreciated. thanks!
