The whole point of a forum its to open discussion and answer questions. I was going to post a thread asking what yesterdays update was but am apparently not allowed to do so. What is this SE???? When can we post threads about maintenance's?

Anything under the INFORMATION section is for announcements. The Maintenance forum is under that, so it is meant to be where SE will post maintenance notices.
If you want to discuss maintenance, do it under General Discussion or the sort.
I'm guessing cause that section is a READ ONLY restriction. Only SE Staff/Community Rep can post in that section.
