Character locking up when using Home Point Crystal

Steps:
I clicked on the Home Point at G-7, and my character stopped moving as when engaging most NPCs. However, the home point menu never came up. I cannot escape out and move again. I can still chat in say, linkshell, unity, etc., but I have no recourse but to force disconnect from the game in order to recover from this issue.
