Making private Ballista matches more accessible

I, and a number of my linkshell friends, often have conversations that end with "let's settle this in ballista!". And if it were easier to jump in, we would do that every time.

Unfortunately, nobody I know (or have known for the past couple years) have ballista points to put towards a private ballista match. If it were quicker and easier to hop into a private ballista match (or other forms of conflict), I think it would quickly revitalize the PvP scene, and introduce conflict to many adventurers who never had the chance to participate.

The most obvious method would be to put gil towards a private ballista match, although I'm sure other currencies (conquest points or tabs for example) are worth considering. But I would love the opportunity to settle any skirmishes on the battlefield for friendly competition.
