Monk's counterattack on all mobs?

Can Monk counterattack all mobs? Even Delve bosses?

I'm trying to see if 550 JP on Monk is worthwhile.

Has anyone tested the 100 JP gift on Monk? It doesn't seem spectacular...

Thought Monk could technically counter anything that's a physical attack from any mob, but not TP move. Can guard both though.

Basically yes any normal hit can be countered however the normal attacks of some mobs like delve bosses count as tp moves

Thank you for this clarification. It's unfortunate that Monk countering won't work in Delve boss fights, as you say.
