Terrible Lag and Logon Issues Since Last Update (Packet Loss)
Details:
Beginning since the latest version update, I receive various errors such as "POL-1341", "POL-1363", "POL-0011" when trying to log into the game. It seriously takes over 30 minutes to log in due to the packet loss. After I finally get into the game, it seems to work okay except for search features (even though it is somewhat lagged). I live on the east coast so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it.
There are no issues whatsoever to any web sites or servers other than the Square Enix ones. This only happens with servers related to the game.

Again, this only began after the most recent update but I am not sure if it is related. (I think it was Friday, September 19.)
Experiencing login and logout issues also
Since the update I have also had problems with login and logging out. I get an error code: FFXI-3305 when logging in sometimes - if I keep trying I eventually get in and sometimes I can log in on the first try. I haven't had any lag issues when I'm in the game. When I log out, it sometimes exits as normal, and sometimes it doesn't - the character will be in the heal position and nothing happens, I am able to cancel logging out, but trying to /logout again will have the same effect. It stays like that for a long while until it times out and I get error code: FFXI-4001. I use PC and Xbox and it occurs on both.
