Can't log into POL Viewer and keep getting POL error 1160 and 1100. Is server down?

I was able to log in and play just fine yesterday, and suddenly I try and log in today (US player here) and POL just wouldn't let me on. Only thing I see pertaining to this is the Global account (or w/e) maint scheduled for the 14th... Which really cheeses me off right now. I was looking forward to playing as today is my "Friday" from work!

Anyone else having problems logging in? I checked the FFXI website and I see a lot of people playing in the RT Vana'diel cam.... Has there been a sudden influx of returning players that POL just couldn't handle the load? Did a server die? Whats going on or does anyone have any idea?
