Please help! ,Updating FFXI server error

Hi, I installed the game and once i log in into the POL there is no problem at all but when i launch FFXI it says it needs to be updated. But when i do that it stops at like 5% or so with some message about the server error. but this update takes ages :s and everytime trying again but no results.

the error is: Error Code: POL-0250, No response from server

Could be firewall.

Could be router.

Could be your on a poor wireless connection.

There are also other internal issues like write protection, damaged HDD, full disk, etc.
