I've been mass murdering spinel and topaz Quadavs in Beadeaux for two nights straight now, I have a large number of reraise scrolls for my trouble, and about an extra 40k in gil from killing mobs alone but what I don't have is the quadav mage blood needed to finish the quest. It's possible the mobs that drop the blood have changed, but I've seen nothing on ffxicyclopedia that suggests the criteria has changed. does anyone know at all?

to get the blood you need to defeat Topaz Quadav or Spinel Quadav but naturaly thay have a drop rate of 5.6% so im guessing you need to use thf to get a good drop rate

No, it's not broken, the drop is just stupid rare. I'm not convinced TH even helps for that drop, either. (TH does not work on everything) -

Went out there specifically without Treasure Hunter trait on myself, but with a friend with it to do some testing cause... why not.

For some of those mobs, grellow is required to "unlock" a certain +2 drop. For instance, Carabosse can freely drop a Voyage Card but will *never* drop a Voyage Coin unless you grellow it.Quote:

Ovni on the other hand has no such restriction, it can freely drop both Voyage Stone and Voyage Card without grellow.
