Augmented Magic Damage Taken

Magic damage taken from augmented items includes more types of damage than simply magic. At this time, we request for SE to clarify the different types of damage and to reflect this differentiation on the items themselves. Thus far, the player base is led to believe the following exist

Physical (ex: Melee strikes)
Magical (ex: Nukes)
Spiritual (ex: Chi Blast; Zantetsuken)
Breath (ex: Heat Breath)

If these are inaccurate, can SE explicitly tell us the variety of damage? We would also like to know whether Spiritual and Breath damage are considered the same type of damage. Thanks.

I realize that linking to the math forum may have made this request a bit more complex than intended, so I'll try to summarize the issue.

Augmented items have "Magic dmg. taken" reduction. There are also non-augmented items with "Magic damage taken." However, these are different effects since augmented items will reduce breath damage while non-augmented items will not. Thus, they're clearly different effects, but the description does not represent this.
