Idea for help with old content

Apologies if an idea like this has been posted before, just wanted to post an idea.

Too often I hear shouts now asking for help with something or other, a mission someone is stuck on or just some content they have never been able to try. Problem is most people have already completed these missions and don’t want to do them again.

They shout saying they will pay for the service etc but more often than not they are left disappointed. Gil and exp is not as hard to earn now and the idea of running to certain missions just makes peoples stomach turn.

So here is an idea for a system. Permanent boosts to stats which are sure to get the elitists interested and something the casuals will be able to do too if they wanted. Though the boosts would be that minor it wouldn’t bother you too much to just leave it.

Benevolent Points

Old content could include but not limited to:
Missions
Nyzul
Assault
Salvage
ZNM
Sky
Sea
etc

How it works:
When doing a mission etc people who are assisting (i.e. have already won this fight) will earn Benevolent Points. People who still required the fight will not earn Benevolent Points. Benevolent Points can only be earned if there is at least one person in the party/alliance who needs the win.

With these Benevolent Points you can buy bonus Key Items from the table below. These bonuses will be constant on any job so long as you are level 75+.

Each time you buy the same bonus it will go up a level to a maximum of five.

This is just an idea and could of course be changed to be more suitable / balanced.

I'm in this situation, missions still to complete etc. (organised events like Nyzul Isle and Einherjar seem like a pipe-dream sadly)

I thought the best way of going about it would be to join a linkshell and make friends. So after three months of getting to know some new folk and helping them farm seals/+2/empy weapon upgrade items on my BLM, I spent the last two weeks asking for help when I first logged on each day with ToAU44 Nashmeira's Plea, or Storms of Fate (which can be easily trio'd ffs). Curiously, I got the same response I get when shouting in Jeuno for help (nothing!)

Time for a new linkshell and time for some new 'friends'..? I wouldn't be so annoyed if this wasn't the third or fourth time I've found myself in this situation.

So yes, while I think it sucks that some kind of reward for players repeating Missions for others is necessary (Umbral Marrow..? lol), it does seem like the majority of the playerbase would rather hang around in Port Jeuno waiting for something they need to be shouted out (or complaining that the only XP parties available are 'RMT') rather than help people who have helped them in the past.

Oh well, fortunately there's plenty of solo content to complete, like skilling up Synergy... ><
