Windurst Waters - Quest - In a Pickle HELP!!

i have collected 23 different Smooth Stone's (in both West/East Sarutabaruta, from Crawler's) and i have yet to get one that has been up to snuff

do i need to get the one that drops from Spiny Spipi or does it actually take this long to complete this quest????

The hate felt by every level 12 Tarutaru who has ever brought her a dozen stones and been told that none of them were quite the right shape.

The flavor it adds is somewhere between ginger, cinnamon, and cat pee. Very sharp and tangy.
