Synergy is an over complicated system that few crafts people took up. With the latest census survey completely ignoring it (either due to lack of data or people who have reached craftmans status) Isnt it time to put the synergy recipes back under the crafts they belong?
It wasn't executed very well, but it gives newcommers a chance to start a craft that allows them to dabble in all the crafts without having to invest weeks of playtime. More people don't like it as apposed to the people who do, but I don't think they are going to change it this late in the game. I can make teleport jewellery as a low level crafter, that's all I really care about.
Make mine. I tried to get some synergist to do it but they failed and kept apologizing for it. I could have made it under goldsmithing if I had the recipe under goldsmithing.
1) you need a synergist with the appropriate level.
2) you need a synergist who isn't doing the herp-derp when they tie their own shoes.
Depending on the earring, some of them are QUITE difficult. The duchy earring for jeuno in particular can be quite difficult due to needing both light and dark. If one of them starts leaking, it can boost the other far too high above the target number, with no way to get it down (without making the other element even higher). So don't feel too insulted if your synergist takes a try or two to make your item, you don't lose the items.
They were making republic earrings and somehow I ended up with his materials that I couldnt give back. I ended up with no Nashmaw earring and a free republic one. He failed and gave up after about 20 attempts. I still dont have the earring as I cant find a good synergist to make one. This is why they need to use the ah to make goods to sell there.
Nashmau Earring.. tricky due to the double linkage, but not particularly difficult. Could even use leaking to your advantage. I'd make it for you, if you were on Bismarck.
