Easy to implement and would be fun and time saving for us who would like to level up in the old areas.

just add few mercenary NPCs with different jobs at mercenary outpost in each zone and players can pay that NPC gil depending on the hour lets say for exmaple

you pay the NPC 100,000 and he will stay with you for 4 hours then disappears
each player can hire up to 2~5 depends on the devs and let them adjust their stats so they dont become Overpowering feature

I would love to know on what basis you claim this is "Easy to Implement."

This sounds like Guild Wars game... is it that hard to get another player to play with you? I rather they focus on fixing the NPC, reduce xp penalty to 10%, make it so that you have more control over which spell lists your NPC will cast, and make it so that we can get them out as many times as we would like. This way you only need another person or two to make a full party. THIS would have been PERFECT to help out other people who rather not leech abysea. But, you know, SE developer are focusing to give us more new shiny poorly implemented crap.

Damn it. I love your threads and the lols that the responses provide me with, but I actually like this idea on some level. For some reason I just like active NPCs. I feel terrible about myself, but I can't help it. It's the same feeling you get when you laugh at something racist.

I guess I need to go do some Campaign or something.
