Brand New To the Game and looking for a guild/linkshell

Hi everyone
As you saw by the tittle im very new to the game and i started out on Phoenix (not sure if this is the sever to be on) I haven't started fully playing yet but I really really want to get into this game. I was very overwhelmed in the beginning and it was like being thrown in the fish pond and I have no idea what to do lol. So now im looking for a Linkshell on any sever (thats atleast populated) so I can learn this awesome game!

Having left Phoenix some years ago I've no idea of the shells that are around now, I would suggest though you may be better off posting in Phoenix's forum rather than this general one.

There's really no 'good' and 'bad' servers, and after the latest set of mergers there's none which could be called 'low population', so it's pretty much a lottery as to which to choose.

As for having 'no idea', I still well remember my first day in Vana'diel, April 29th 2005 :), totally lost without any real idea what to do.

Unlike later MMOs XI of course barely gives you any details of what's going on a lot of the time, though the 'new user tutorial' quest chain that exists now does teach you a lot that in the past you had to stumble across, and the Fields of Valor system means right from the start you'll begin making some decent cash and leveling pretty quickly: with one exception (the quest to raise the cap from level 55 to 60) the game can be soloed all the way to 90 these days, if you have the patience. :D
