With the introduction of Abyssea the Temp Key items page has become over cluttered. Can we have some tabs on this page for KI,Abyssites and atmas to separate them out from the mission temp key items.

There's been threads like this, but tabs is a good idea.

Atma tab
Abyssite tab
Other tab

SE i fixed it for you.

I agree with this, temp key items page is looooooong and there's a lot to scroll through. Tabs would be nice.

I also think they stated why they couldn't make an extension of key items in one of those threads.

Something about PS2 limitations I think?

I don't remember. I think it was a weak excuse though.

I thought it was something about sorting the KI manually that couldn't be done because of PS2 limitations

if its PS2 limitations then make it PC/xbox only? There is no reason why we cant have an upgraded UI over those of the PS2.

I have a feeling that they will be starting to do a lot of things without PS2 included.

Like the new lettering for one such event.

One can only hope. Maybe that will ween the PS2fanboys off of a decade old system.

*psst* Hello there,

I'm bringing you some top secret info. While spying through the dev team's office, an unexpected image caught my eye and I took a pic of it.

Here's what I found...

This image will not self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck!

Your image didn't self destruct ... I think there is a bug :/ I'd recommend reporting this to bugs section in the forums. Are you sure you learned the Blue Mage spell "Self Destruct"? Or did you mean "Bomb Toss"?

Add a section for NM pop items and you're set.

We need more spies like Foxclon.

Quick, somebody go to Japan and infiltrate SE so we can get more info from them!

I think that was my first or second like on a FFXI important guy post.

Please now go take pictures of the post-its saying "To do: Fix spirits". There should be at least 100 of them in the office.

Now I SERIOUSLY doubt THAT.

Foxclon is clearly an adept Ninja. Now, if only I could utilize his skills to infiltrate the Pentagon to acquire much needed information concerning Manbearpig.

that will be so nice to have some key item sorting system lol

It's always nice to see interface improvements. I remember way back when the "Key Items" menu didn't have any sections at all, and everything was all just one big gigantic list. Thank goodness SE came to their senses and organized things into neat little categories.

Honestly, there are just so many cumbersome and clunky things in FFXI's UI, you have to wonder why it doesn't get improvements more often.

Anyway, thanks for the awesome pic, Foxyclon! You truly are the greatest spy ever.

I was always kind of wary when all the atma and abyssite's we all work so hard to claim were sorted under "Temp" Key Items. Made me wonder if we were ever able to lose them somehow. Like if we somehow lost support for Abyssea for a day or so and everything went *poof.* Glad to see those worries were pointless.

having atmas and abyssites in a seperate tab liek that would be awsome! no down side to that!

That is a very interesting image, now, if only, you can see what the stats and bonus on each atma when you click it, instead of the current GARBAGE description we have now.

I got the devils proof. If there had been no post-its, then spirits would have already been fixed.

Malamasa, I doubt they will even bother to fix spirits for Summoner. As usual, and in the MOST typical ways, the developer never really bother to do anything to summoner. The fact that spirit is very weak summon, they could make it cost 1 mp per tick, and treat it similar to puppetmaster automaton or dragon wyvern with somewhat less sophisticated AI. So you can have spirit out all the time as an options. Heck they could grant summoner a new list of spells to cast based on which spirit you have out, for example: if you have air spirit - you get all the aero spells minus Aero 5, Tornado, Tornado 2 and Aeroja. But, you know, wishful thinking lol.

I would rather be able to select from a list of blood pacts for spells for spirits. Only certain ones, though. Not all. No sense in having Fire Spirit have Fire II and IV when Ifrit's available.

Well the idea is to give a bit more option as SMN, but it will never replace BLM when it comes to spells access and the damage dealt. If you want true proc from BLM spells, get a BLM - but at least this give a slight chance to help proc from the list of BLMs spell to SMN. It is still a bit inconvenient to swap spirits, but hey it could be nice. As for having Fire 2 and Fire 4 in the list, with spirits out, the idea is to have the spell list on your normal spell list instead being part of BP:Rage. This way you can cast as often as you want, it would consume the same amount as normal spells, and only available as long as that said spirit is out. But the damage dealt should be 20% less than normal BLM spells since SMN has no native elemental magic skills. Unless you sub scholar that is, then with dark arts you should be able to close match normal damage from BLM - should is the key word :)

How does this post even make any sense at all? Elemental skill does not increase damage, and having B+ elemental skill does not automatically give you the MAB V BLM trait. Posts like this is why these forums aren't taken seriously, and why I never read them because I get a GIGANTIC headache.
