View Full Version : Hexa Strike - Can I have it?
Not really too big of a deal, but was there a reason Paladin weren't given Hexa Strike
at all? Paladin has an A- in Club which is slightly higher than White Mage, but we cannot have access to Hexa Strike.
Was the reason for this simply because you expected players to use Clubs instead of Sword once they are able to use Hexa Strike? Can the Devs shed some light on this long forgotten situation?
Always wanted to know why it was never allowed.
Again, it's not too big of a deal I suppose anymore, would be cool to have though for messing around or using to proc that once in a while Hexa Strike "Blue Stagger" in Abyssea incase no White Mage is along for the ride, which would be wierd. x.x

Giving one job two blue staggers no other job has isn't gonna happen.

DRG, RNG, NIN, SAM all have 2 (or more for RNG) blue staggers that no other jobs have.

I thought it had something to do with hexa strike being a whm only perk. I can't remember where that reasoning arose from though.

WHM is the only job in the game with access to all Maul-class weapons. PLD has A- club, but our club selection is limited to Rod and Wand class weapons, with the occasional mace (Templar Mace comes to mind, for obvious reasons). Maul-class weapons are damage dealing clubs. Rod and Wand class weapons are magic-enhancing clubs. Despite our combat skill with them, it is extremely unlikely that PLD was ever designed to use clubs to actually deal damage.

Which is sad, imo. I would have actually leveled Paladin higher than it is if we could use good clubs/hexa strike xD.

Real question should be why does WHM get all of the staff WS naturally with their C+ skill, and BLM and SMN with higher skill don't!!!

Not trolling, I disagree, PLD doesn't need access to Hexastrike, PLD has its own WS with Swiftblade. You don't hear BLU's throwing a fit about not having Swfitblade when PLD only has 7 more sword skill.

Who says I'm throwing a fit? Didn't realize asking why Paladin never got access to Hexa Strike was being greedy or throwing a fit.
