On the roadmap it was indicated a job-adjustment/tweak update would be in June; From the sound of the recent announcement, this will now be in July. Does this mean the August update (e.g. lv95) is going to be pushed back further? or was the minor fix update earlier "the" june update?

I was hoping it was a typo myself and they ment mid june and not mid july. Mainly because mid june is on schedule, mid july is delayed. So if it is on schedule it should be mid june.

Earthquake and stuff pushed things back about a month.

Wasn't the schedule released after the earthquake?
Personally I wish they wouldn't give dates because I'd rather an update be tested and ready before they get people's hopes up on a certain date.

Hmmm I thought it was before, but it seems the roadmap was released in early April. I'm positive that the server shutdowns and power issues were after the roadmap though, and the disaster in Japan is responsible for the recent delays we've seen.

Roadmap was posted April 8th (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/4937-The-FINAL-FANTASY-XI-roadmap-for-the-twelve-month-period-commencing-April-2011?highlight=roadmap). Now, while it's possible the image was in development prior to the tsunami, releasing it without consideration of that seems kind of... I dunno, unprofessional. After all, we wouldn't know what would've been pushed back as a direct result and we kind of assumed April's update being pushed back was a direct result and thus more or less the end of it.
Either way, we can all understand complications arise, one thing proves buggy and persistent, and so on. With job updates being a staple of the pending update, myself and others are hoping it's surely more than the PLD, COR, and BLU tweaks that were recently announced, some of which assumed were coming with the most recent downtime but didn't.

At the bottom of the roadmap, there is a paragraph that says updates/content are subject to change. Just gives SE more time to fine-tune the upcoming content so that less people will complain.

...thinks people will complain irregardless

Who is this "we" you're referring to?
I honestly wouldn't expect them to get back anywhere close to the original schedule until later this year to be perfectly blunt. If they EVER get back onto the schedule outlined in that roadmap. What was it 2 or 3 weeks taken out of development time by rolling blackouts and power shortages? That's a MASSIVE amount of time to make up in 2 months.
And no, crystal balling near nuclear meltdown and rolling blackouts isn't really in most game companies repertoire of risk modelling.
P.S. We got a free month for a very good reason. Stop whining.

It's not whining. It's a valid question.
If the earthquake was a factor into this, then it really wouldnt be that hard for them to post a revised roadmap to account for the delay.

Who is this "we" you're referring to?Anyone who's ever voiced a concern, question, or opinion on the game here, on fan sites, or within the game itself? Rather bluntly, we want to digest any and all info we can get. It helps keep us interested. It helps excite us about the future. It also lets us be critical when we receive something we don't like, or in some cases, don't receive.
It's not whining. It's a valid question.

Or have withheld the roadmap until they'd edited to account for the tsunami and its related events, which is largely my assumption on its release as April 8th had been a few weeks after. Otherwise, my stab at the unprofessional would've been them releasing something they knew was wrong only to hope we wouldn't notice, or in some cases, have people defend them and be apologetic about it as we could've easily waited if they just said, "Hey guys, we had this road map outlined, but because of, you know, we need a few more days to revise it." Casual paraphrasing, sure, but you get the point.
It's not whining. It's a valid question.

and the roadmap has already been revised
The"may" update was planed for april
If they updated that i think they can have update every update (or they just get extra delay because all little fixe they did since)
