What do the "medals" under my name mean? Some are grey, others are colored...just curious.
According to today's post from the Community Team (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/9494-NA-Forum-Features-Updated-%28Jun.-8%29?p=118445#post118445):

The following bug on the forum has been addressed along with the maintenance performed on June 7th.
Medallion icon will now be granted depending on the number of times player has pressed the "Like!" button."
Supposedly, starting sometime today, medals will be bestowed based on the number of times a poster clicks the Like Button at the bottom of another person's post. To be honest, though, I don't know if it's working yet. My Medallions have not changed as far as I can tell.
EDIT: Just reread the Community Team's post. It seems that the medallions are not changing retroactively. Instead of being based off post count, from today forward, they'll instead be awarded solely on 'Likes' instead of post counts.

The grey ones are supposed to be silver medals. The yellow ones are gold medals. It's an arbitrary ranking system. :P
