All of the new NPCs that give you traverser stones have a grammatical error:

"I'm sorry, <player name>, but it'd be irresponsible of me to furnish you with anymore" (stones)

Should be

"I'm sorry, <player name>, but it'd be irresponsible of me to furnish you with any more"

"any more" should always be two words- never one.

Any more (two words) means "no more"; anymore (one word) means "now," "currently," "at this time."

Both are used with negative constructions.

> We do not have any more work = We have no more work.
> We are not working anymore = We are not working now/at this time.

> I can't give you any more love that I already have = I can give you no more love than I already have.
> I don't love you anymore = I don't love you now = I have stopped loving you.

Any more is still the appropriate usage in this case.

–adverb 1.any longer.

2.nowadays; presently.


This is not what anymore is being used for in the NPC's text. The context NPC is using, he is saying it to mean that no more should be given. It's not a statement of a period of time. He says it would be unwise for me to furnish you with anymore- or "it would be unwise to furnish you with presently." It should be "it would be unwise for me to furnish you with any more" as in "you have too many stones. I can't give you any more."

The NPC's text is more like your first example: > I can't give you any more love that I already have = I can give you no more love than I already have.
