Quicksand Caves Weighted Doors

I had an idea regarding the weighted doors in quicksand caves.

Would it be possible to add a ??? somewhere which will grant you the key item "Old Galkan Weights". Having this permanent key item would allow use of the weighted doors without having multiple party members.

I normally cluck my tongue at redundant suggestion topics, but the goddamn QSC weight sensors are the one exception. Here, I encourage people to keep making threads until it's changed.

As a proud Galka-slave owning Hume, I say nay. I don't need to carry around weights when I can just whip the Galkas. Least that makes them useful for something. /Galka Racism

This isn't a big an issue as Eldieme plates/switches. I'd say Garlaige too but at least WotG gave us ways around that. Not so for Eldieme, we only got that one mandy that warps us up the ledge in Batallia to get to that one really obscure part of Eldieme. They've done nothing about the plates, in the majority of Eldieme.

Do I actually care at this point in the game? No, not really, for neither scenario. It's a MMORPG, you're supposed to have people (some call these things "friends") to assist in your endeavors. From annoying little things to epic battles. Is this reason enough to not change it? No. However, is there really more reason than "i want to solo" stuff behind this request? No.

They can change this but I doubt many people will actually care if they do, or if they don't. The inconvenience is just too insignificant.

I don't want to inconvenience people who I consider my friends, by dragging them out to a far out-of-the-way place just to open a door for me. Doesn't seem like a very friendly thing to do, when I know they're busy people. (You know, I'd seriously consider the "Race change" option, if it were ever implemented, just to change my race to Galka to get past those pesky doors, although it'd probably cost money, so I'd end up not doing it, and wishing I could, and still being in the same situation as now...)

If I'm going to inconvenience anyone, it'll be to farm Chloris pop items for my H2H... still haven't gotten around to doing that... I don't want to impose. Or maybe finishing certain storyline battles that aren't friendly to solo... though my friends don't care for the story or that I want to see it for myself (not on youtube, and I want the rewards, though they're nothing essential) They'd probably help if I pushed for it... but that's not me.

The less of a burden I can be to others, the better. The Galkan doors are an unnecessary blockaid for storyline reasons that could have storyline work-arounds.

Sorry. This is about the only advantage to being a Galka besides having the biggest pickaxe.

No because that means they're usually the ones getting hit (usually by a whip but thats not important). It evens out. Also, I think a Galka knows what the advantages are of being a Galka are better than other people.

Ya 4k hp just means your the fodder. I could count on one hand the number of times I was properly cured and actually lived threw an important fight. I am glad I can solo these switches thou! lol

We brought this up to the development team and they said that adding a '???' marker in the zone would take effort. The development team is focused on other adjustments and hopefully they will be able to look at this in the future, but currently there are no plans to give a shit.
