Call Beast Confusion

I've just recently started leveling Beastmaster and its quickly become my favorite job. I was going to try some farming today and I noticed that while BST is set as a subjob I still have access to Call Beast.

Is this some sort of oversight? Are we supposed to have access to jug pets on other jobs and SE just goofed on the jugs making them BST only or did they not realize Call Beast should just be disabled when its used as a sub?

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before, but I at least didn't see it here. What's the deal SE?

You have access to the job ability, however you cannot equip any jugs to call bst. They are all exclusive to bst job main.

Yeah, I've always found this amusing myself. It's just one of those weird things. They need to make it like Yonin/Innin so that you don't get access to it as a sub, considering you can't even use jugs unless you're BST main. xD

but it's just not /BST even /DRG you get access to Spirit Link ect.

It's made that way so you can use your ja's at low levels without other jobs going /bst and taking advantage of the jobs unique ability.
