So, orinigially back around just before ToAU launch when the 3rd job was unknown rumors and speculation and whathaveyou went around about Necromancer.

We were told that the reason for PUP was because there were issues with undead being out in the day and it would suspend too much disbelief or something. While there are clear zones with undead out the during (nevermind besieged), i.e Xarcbard.

Will we ever see this job since I'm sure it's possible to add one through version update, or is the jobs we have now pretty much it for the rest of XI's life? I know PUP is somewhat the same model as Necromancer..but it's just not the same :(

This will be introduced in the same update along with Viking, Geomancer, Time Mage, Calculator, Alchemist, Bacon Mage and Sir Not Appearing in this Game.

Necromancer's main responsibility will be to revive horses in "X Job Idea" threads so that we may continue to beat them.

In all seriousness though, I'd like to something unique added. Something that isn't a rehash of existing jobs in this and other SE/RPG titles.

Yeah, if only though. I think aside story Necromancer was an extra job in FFV Advance.
