POL-3001 is area specific 100%

yea was going to Burm from sandy viva' npc with my main char. and lagged out to error 3001, logged on other char. fine, then attempted to do same zone that i lagged out in, and bam error pol-3001, now both char.s are stuck >< . called GM before 2nd char. got stuck, just got a automated reply sending me to a PC, ok so i have one, after looking into that, have to wait for feedback. Also bought another ffxi for this pc, gonna try loggin to my account with this copy, still downloading...., btw SE, bought the PS3 just for FF14, now it's collecting dust >< gonna hit up a friend and try logging on at his house to move my chars. out of that zone.

last time this happened to me, it wound up being my firewall blocking two IP's in the 124.150.152.1-255 range (inbound UDP traffic). Did reverse lookup and found that 124.150.152.1/24 subnet is leased to SE--whitelisted the two IP's and I was able to zone into Windy immediately.

Yea after my download is complete for PC version gonna try to look at all that, did ping the server everything is normal, course i havent been to that op in long time, oh well, since update i've had more problems then normal...this was just to top off the cake i suppose, my internet is rare, doubt anyone but me and a handful has it, B2Xonline wireless from a tower to my home, then goes to wired connection to a router<linksys> then my 360, PC etc. used since 06' it's indirect lineofsight connection...weaker then same set-up with direct lineofsight connection, has did me well enough for many years, even tho storms and sometimes thick fog will weaken or disconnect me...be happy your not me atm. lol
