Seriously where are they? how come we're stuck using the same attacks as 15-20 levels ago?

SE fears to give us a new bloop pact cause it will make the other players cry or moan that we are too powerful.

yeah, this is getting really annoying. other jobs can crank out 5k+ with their WS, making chains for additional free damage (some even bursting off them) to pull off 5 digit numbers with little effort. But, SMN is so overpowered....

QQ? This is a legitimate question every other job got new attacks and spells except... SMN.

Maybe a new Physical BP at level 99 (Merit Maybe?), Outside of that, I don't know.

I Think we should get a new :Rage For Each pet, Simply because It does seem "logical". But at the same time, the 75 Magical BPs are very powerful, With Set bonus proc can peak 11k damage, the 75BPs (Some) are just as strong.

also Don't forget, Carbuncle, Diabolos, and Fenrir all got new BP Rages, remember...? Right now, If the pattern continues, We're only due for an addition to Ramuh's BP Arsenal.

That being said, I reiterate, Would be nice if with the new "99 merits" we're suppose to get, Allowed us to Merit Physical BPs, Similar to how 75 merits gave us magical.

SMN is a strong job if you gear it right, I don't know all the whining about it being weak, Truthfully if they removed the BP- Cap, We'd be fine.

all jobs are strong in abyssea... hell, it's nothing to crank out 2k+ with a stick on BLM ffs. But it pales in comparison to what other jobs can do under normal setups.

I think this is because our BP Delay. If you compare us to other DD-Mage jobs, like BLM, We do fine in Numbers anyway, the problem is if BLM Chose too, they could nuke back to back, SMNs are prevented from this saddly, While there is the melee option for both pet and master (yes), Its how restricted we our with BP Timer.

SMN is still a powerful job, Just wish they'd erase the "BP Delay-" Cap, Most other DD's, even outside Abyssea, can get TP in under 45 seconds, Allowing our BP to go off ever ~30 Seconds would be amazing.

We're SMNs, We'll never be pumping out 10k+ Every BP and Out-DD"ing Empyrean WARs, its unrealistic at bests, but as it stands, the best boost we could get is removal of the BPDelay- Cap, Would really be a great start to helping the job.

I don't deny we need a little push, the whole "Hateless DD" as a reason simply isn't strong enough in todays FFXI ;\

yeah I remember those BPs I also remember they're much weaker than our 75 pacts and as such were completely pointless I haven't used any of those 3 in over 6 months and even then i only used them messing around farming

Never said they were useful, I just said we got them, and we did. SE can come and say "You got them, Shut up and go away and be happy" Is what i was getting at.

personally id be happy with these new AoE ward pacts we are getting having dmg added on to them like somnolence, tht way we culd use em 2 get hate on are pets frm multiple aggros + being able 2 get some additional damage out while are rage pact is recharging

What is probably going to happen is, we get Ramuh's final BP:W at 91, then Carby/Diab/Fenrir's BP:Ws at either 95, or 92/93/94.

At 95, we will get new BP:Rs for the elemental avatars, most likely physical, the kind that would do 4-5k damage to become on par of the merited BP:Rs, but can take advantage of physical atmas.

At 96-99, we will get Terrestrial avatar's final BP:Rs, probably along the lines of 96/97/98. Merit v2 will be the second set of Magical BP:Rs. Which means that all the merits we put on the first level BP:Rs will be wasted, but all well. They lasted us for this long.

All this, of course, is conjecture. My information is based off of SE's historical tendencies with SMN.

Maybe they havent given SMN new BP: Rages because SMN doesnt need them? Currently the only BP rage addition SMN should get is something like an Empyrean BP or something along those lines, and put it on a pet: mab or perp- magian staff I suppose.

I wouldn't object to new BPs that cost upwards of 300-400mp, that no half-geared SMN could maintain with Minikin.

Ramuhs pact will come for sure, after that I only think Carby, Fenrir, and Diabolos will get BP: Rage...however it would be crazy if the rest of avatars would get new Rages....

Carby, Fenrir, and Diabolos kinda lack powerful Rages maybe not so much Fenrir....then at 99 we'll see "something" new instead of adding ranges to all avatars.

A spirit adjustment would be nice attention in there somewhere.:confused:

When I last checked (after we went up to level 80) they didn't upgrade the spirits to include tier5 nukes, or cure6 pro/shell5. This would be a nice edition. Expecially if @99 the (dark or fire?) elemental gets meteor XD

Yea, the level cap has been a nice proof that SE has abandoned spirits. Which is so silly since all they had to do is fix them and they'd add 8 usable pets to the Summoner class. A larger update than could ever be done by any other method.

I recall once seeing a visual of memory slots left available for each jobs abilities/spells . Summoner may not have many left as far as what was originally laid out. I'd rather see what is given to us at 99 rather than moan and groan about why we have to use magic/physical bloodpacts that are fully capable of 3~5k damage free of hate....
That's all I gotta say :P

Hate free damage isn't really the issue it's the fact we're using DD tools from 20 levels ago. where outside Abyssea are you doing 5k dmg?

Ramuh's Radiance. I'm calling so when it happens no one's surprised lol. If they gave him a 6hit ability (bps cap at 4.2 and 1.0 or 1.1 on additional hits iirc) and crit damage based on tp then i would forget 75-91 ever happened.
