...it would be a great convenience to have beside each region the area you're going to. For example,
Zulkheim Region (Valkurm)
Norvallen Region (Jugner)
Valdeaunia Region (Xarcabard)
And so on and so forth. To this day I still forget which region is which occasionally. :(

I lol'd. I have found myself in the wrong area a few times coz I thought I remembered the area but 'doh' had to warp back and use the map :P

That being said, I guess some people would find this useful. Even if I've already memorized every place in the game down to its pixels...except Mordion Gaol...I better get working on that one.

Protip: Shout "hoardcore" types of ideas in Port Jeuno, and include rog's defensive strategies when people start to point out the obvious. Include cuss words and racial profiles and boom: instant jail

I can remember the Aht Urhgan areas simply because there are less of them. And I can remember the Abyssean ones pretty well - that said, who cares what area the maws are in? That's redundant without question. I couldn't see how one would want to utilize the abyssea teleporter services for things unrelated to abyssea...

What is the fastest way to get from Jeuno to Davoi? I port to the maw in Jugner for 200 cruor. I suppose I could run out, spend 50 tabs to repatriate, and OP warp to Jugner, but that's slower and more expensive.

To begin with, I thought it was inconvenient that they listed the region names instead of the zone names. It's never really been a big issue for me though, doesn't take all that long to memorize which region most zones belong to.
I'm not gonna say "no don't do it", but I don't really see the need to spend development time on changing it.

Let us not forget abyssea - attowha warp to buburimu to run to op, to op warp to home nation (nothing is faster short of home point in home nation/nation warp items).
Then theres free teleport-vazhl that is abyssea - uleguerand. Fastest way to Bastok if it's not your home nation? Abyssea - Altepa > run. Abyssea - Grauberg warp? Fastest way to Palborough (debatable fastest way to oldton). Abyssea - Valkurm is the fastest way to dunes/selbina from jeuno (and arguably Lufaise meadows). Tahronghi and La Theine are the only ones I can't find a use for though.
