Adventuring Fellow Will not Level

My characters NPC will not level past 50, my girlfriend is having the same problem with her NPC. We of cannot flag the quest for the level breaker, my girlfriend has capped bond with her NPC and still cannot flag the quest. Today was not the first time this has happened, this has happened multiple times over about a two week time period.

Check the link and then your quest log to see if you completed the required previous quest involving Angelica. If you have, then do you have a Signal Pearl in your inventory when trying to activate the quest for level break?

i cannot flag the quest at all I have done the prerequisite quest, my npc will not level past 50 your npc has to be 51 to flag the quest. My girlfriends npc is stuck at 60 and will not level to 61.

Ok, I can only hazard a guess that this might be another Development issue, except that I just did my level break quest to take my NPC to 75 with no issues. You can try making a GM call, and also hope that the Moderators are reading your original post. There is another post within these forums about Adventuring fellow in ToAU areas.

The NPC quest tracks are screwy...often you need to have two quests done. Think some can get blocked because another quest not related to your NPC is still open (NPC dialogue is locked on something else until you finish the other quest). Double check to make sure all prereq's are done., and you don't have any open quests with the NPC's involved. Tactics Pearl and NPC upgrade levels open up around each of the limit breaks as well. You may be getting messages for other stuff in the way, double check those tracks.

To get to 55 cap (so you can ding 51), need at least 35 bond ( I think I'm reading that right) and finished A Pose by Any Other Name. Past Reflections also comes up here...forget if that needs to be done too or not, if it's logged it could be holding you up. Picture Perfect require that you have the signal pearl on you--not in satchel or sack--to log it and then you can unlock 55 cap so you can ding 51.

60 cap has some screwy stuff ggoing on too. Monberaux is involved with various quests--something could hang it up there. If Luto isn't cooperating, it could be a snag from Blighted gloom, Chameleon capers, Blessed Radiance tracks. Again, need to have Signal Pearl on you to log the quest.

Note that to unlock 65 cap, you start it with the Taru and not Luto. Luto may chatter about other stuff before she finally talks about going to Sandy. Again, make sure her ramblings aren't dealing with other quests still open (ie: Blighted gloom, Chameleon capers, Blessed Radiance tracks). Again, need to have Signal Pearl on you to log the quest.

■Reportedly there's a problem with people not getting the cutscene from Monberaux and all he mentions is something about Wolfgang, the solution is to spam him (keep clicking on him) and you'll get it.
■Reportedly another problem when quest doesn't activate when speaking with luto. Going to rendez-vous point again, then zoned in pearl equipped may have helped


I did some more digging and for level break from 55-60 there were the above edits for getting the proper cs's, plus wiki also mentions that you might have to zone in to Upper Jeuno with Signal Pearl equipped to get that quest. For level break 60-65 according to wiki you only have to have Signal Pearl in your inventory/mog satchel/sack, but your g/f could try zoning to rendezvous point and zone back pearl equipped. As Raisst said you have to talk to the taru Ratoto to flag the quest. Try zoning to rendezvous point and back with pearl equipped for 50-55. I really dug into that one and could find nothing that would stop you from getting the quest unless your adventuring fellow bond is not 35 or you didn't complete A Pose By Any Other Name. You could check your quest log to make sure you completed the quest for adventuring fellow bond "Past Reflections". This increases bond from 30 -50. Blighted Gloom, Blessed Radiance and Chameleon Capers are also adventuring fellow bond quests and need to be completed in order to get the level breaks done for higher levels.
