View Full Version : VNMs in Abyssea-Reduce wait time?
With all of the measures to avoid overpopulated NM points, is there any way we can reduce the wait time for VNMs in abyssea? Ochain and the String needs T3 VNMs and competing for T2 to make a T3 pop, and then hopinh that T3 is up is quite the pain. With the changes to make all other Empy. Item NMs easier to pop and claim, I feel that the VNMs in Abyssea should see a reduced repop time, or have multiple spawns of the higher teirs up at the same time (like T1).

I agree very strongly.
Spent 3 hours to get 1 T3 pop last night, and there was no competition, the drop rate of a T3 abyssite was just too poor. We killed several (6+) T2's and got a few people up to 9/10 on their seals. I can't imagine how it would have been if there was even the slightest competition.

I agree they should either lower respawn time or make T1>T2>T3 less of a hassel
75 Colorless souls for Ochain is unreasonable over these condition when you compare the task to other Empy. Weapons.

Agreed. Getting Colorless Souls is far harder than any other Empyrean upgrade item thanks to the randomness of obtaining a T3 pop and repop times. If you get streaks of your abyssite not upgrading in 8, 9, 10+ kills it can mean 100-150 minutes killing for no reward whatsoever. Only last night we had someone who needed 17 T2 kills spread over 2 days before it finally upgraded to the T3 abyssite.
At the very least the VNM should be able to be force upgraded by proccing red discernment !!
Alternatively they could make multiple T2/T3 VNM's be up in one zone at once or give us an alternative way of obtaining Colorless Souls or a T3 pop. I'd settle just for the red discernment forcing upgrade though, at least that would take away the randomness of the upgrade process.

What soidsant said. It really seems like the devs don't talk to each other when they come up with quest be it for seals or emp upgrade items from NMs.

Amazed that there has been so few comments on this judging from the amount of people I have had to compete against for VNM pops. I'd have thought it was the same situation on other servers too.

Far less QQ Ochain QQ Daurdabla players than QQ too easy QQ leech players.
No matter what, this is far too unreasonable when comparing to other Empyrean weapons.
I guess the train of thought is that Ochain and Daurdabla don't have to do the outside aby NM kill trials, as if they are as difficult as getting 50 plates (I think my group had 5 x2 drops meaning around 45 iron giant kills) and 75 colorless souls. Apademak and Azdaja aren't a walk in the park either compared to Orthrus, Alfard, and Dragua.

Any one of the following can help with the congestion:
-being able to force upgrade to tier3 via red stagger
-multiple tier2/tier3 in each zone
-lowered respawn for tier2/tier3 in each zone
Preferrably all three shold be implemented but there could be balance issues with that.
