View Full Version : Why don't we get Auspice?

Or at least subtle blow on Enspell 2s?

I don't want WHM to feel lonely being the only mage with free Subtle Blow.

Isn't there plenty of SB gear that rdm can wear?

That doesn't gimp our damage in the process? Not really.
(Also Ninja got a Subtle Blow spell)

Rajas Ring and the Sash from Absolute Virtue...(I think they just added a head piece too, but I haven't seen it yet.)

Eveything else just gimps our damage and doesn't even add to our mage side either.

We don't really get serious gear anymore, so we want enhancing magic to make up for it.

EDIT: The Brisk Mask doesn't give Subtle Blow, but the Vellaunus' Mantle does...2.5mil on my server. Total subtle blow you would want to get on a RDM from items: 16.

Not to mention the job trait.

proly cuz it doesn't stack with enspell. you'd have to pick enspell OR auspice. they can have it.

i like the idea of subtle blow on enspells though

I'm going to have to check that out with my WHM friend.

Auspice already gives an Enspell like effect with Misery up so no they don't stack.

At least in terms of additional effects since only 1 added effect can activate per swing. No idea if the SB still sticks around.

You still receive the SB from auspice, what they mean is that a whm with misery active cannot have the enlight effect from auspice and an enspell active at the same time.

while i can't see how much tp i'm giving the mob per swing, i can see my own buff list. if my whm friend casts auspice on the party, it removes my enspell. when i recast the enspell, the little marker for auspice goes away.

so unless auspice can somehow give me subtle blow without even showing up on my buff list, i'm fairly certain it doesn't stack with enspell, at ALL.

while i can't see how much tp i'm giving the mob per swing

Tp you receive per hit + 2

Then divided by the percentage of how much SB you have.

yah.. i get that. but if i don't know how much subtle blow i have (because we're discussing wether or not auspice works with enspell.) then that gives me 2 variables. i'd need to see how much the mob is actually gaining per hit to prove that auspice was doing anything for me. (wich i'm pretty sure it isn't since, as i said.. the status icon goes away)

lol I didn't think of that myself. That's just how people test TP values for monsters.
