I think i would be awesome for a smn specific atma that would have something like summoning magic superior (+50 or 100), blood pact ability delay -50% (yes goes to 30seconds) and refresh 5mp/tick.

Of course it won't be just given, make a quest that the prerequisite would be to have done all 6 of the mini trials. Would be nice if the quest to get this atma gives you a nice smn equip piece like a good ammo item sicne it seems the new one from the update which is geared for pet loving is forgetting smn and pup.

job-specific Atma would be nice for most jobs. however, an atma as powerful as you propose is not proportionate to the difficulty for obtaining it compared to other Atma of similar power. Perhaps creating a bad-ass level 90 summoner mob in Voidwatch that has to be beaten, or maybe just that post-CoP mission where you have to beat Carbuncle.

Also, I wouldn't want to see a Job-specific atma for summoner unless the other 19 jobs were to get something similar in utility to what you propose for their jobs-as a measure of fairness. As it is, Atma tends to be a mix-and-match for most jobs where some, but not all, of the chosen Atmas are in fact useful to the player in question.

atleast give us 1 stat that is for us, brd has one for song cast time, with summoner being so specialized we need to get atleast 1 atma geared for us, time and time agian smn gets screwed out of generic gear since conserve mp or fast cast really has no real use for us.

Wouldn't hold your breath on anything like this....in case you haven't noticed....SMN (and BST) isn't getting a whole lot of love these days.

Atma from beating WOTG - Windurst missions is very specific to summoner... has BP delay - . It just doesn't break the cap! ;D We dont' need any specific atma's, as I've learned from these forums, not really any of us agree too much on how to play the job. If SE gave us a "SMN" specific atma, it'd be similar to them telling us how to play the job! :P

Start preparing for life outside Abyssea. My guess is that most of you can't live without Minikin yet.

An atma like that would be un nessesary. Yes, BP delay - would be nice, but you don't need Refresh or the Summoning skill. Just stick with Razed Ruins/Gnarled Horn/AoA for Physical pacts, and Beyond/Ultimate/Baying Moon for Magic Pacts.

Thats not to say a decent combination of critical hit and mab on an atma would be nice, but I can only ever see SE adding one or two synthetic atmas in the future.

i will say atma of the beyond is soooooooo not fair and favor's shiva lol. I'm a big titan fan and use claw which was a real bitch to get a group to get it but worth it. I know overall summoner doesn't need a specific atma but it would just be nice for SE to acknowledge us atleast a couple of times over some updates, i know bst also gets shafted but atleast you can heal all of your pets, without healing salve I & II poor titan has to rely on regen atma's and stoneskin to by some time.

But i will keep coming up with crazy crack pot idea's intill SE actually give's summoner something useful. Nerfing Mountain buster's power atm cause they screwed up isn't right, give titan a good physical power move please, give all the avatars one.

also on side note, has anyone actually had good success with blood boon, i'm sitting on +21 and i'm lucky to see it the whole !@#$'n day.

Job balancing is hard enough having job specific atma would be treated like gear, and we all know how smn gear gets treated.

I never take minikin (or any refresh atma for that matter) unless I am specifically using magical pacts... but usually I am using physical pacts. Then I take 3 DD atma. My -perp gear + refresh gear + refresh from /rdm is more than enough to keep me going (with elemental siphons and converts to fall back on)

You will be fine. Since the OP was asking for more refresh inside Abyssea, I'm not confident the everyday SMN knows that the game is moving on.

Geeze, you really are the sunshine for every SMN out there?

To everyone else: Put on as much -perp gear you can, and you can have free avatars. Throw in the +1/+2 Caller's Horn and you get some MP back too. Add /RDM, and you can have +6 mp Refresh outside of Abyssea. Then you won't have to worry about MP (or in Dallas's case, wiff for MP).

Korpg, you said yourself you only play SMN to solo NMs in abyssea. It appears you wouldn't play the job at all, if not for my guidance. You are welcome.

Have you tired of being in my shadow yet?

If ur gonna get an atma like this, I sugges that you get it from finishing Carbuncle Prime quest "Waking the Beast" ^^

Why GH? Isnt VV better that GH for SMN physical O.o?

Conceded much?

You are too narrow minded to give anyone any advice. I suggest you discover an actual DD job and learn to play that, and you will question yourself as to why it took you so long to realize the errors of your ways.

There are others elemental atma that is specific to each avatar that adds more damage to tier 2 bloodpact, also there are elemental resist atma that will make your avatar fully resist specific elements (wind, fire, etc...):

For Ifrit:
Atma of the Smoldering Sky, defeating Smok, spawned by trading a Hollow Dragon Eye to the ??? at (E-9)

For Shiva and Carbuncle
Atma of the Beyond

For Ramuh:
Atma of the Lion, defeating Hadhayosh, spawned by clicking the ??? in the very NW corner of K-8 (on the borderline of K-7) with the key items Glittering Pixie Choker, Blood-Smeared Gigas Helm, Bloodied saber tooth and Marbled Mutton Chop. Triple attack and 10% damage reduction, plus thunder 40% more damage.

For Leviathan:
Atma of the Noxious Fang, from zone boss in Abyssea - Konschtat, Kukulkan.

For Garuda:
Atma of the Gales, defeating Alkonost, spawned by trading Giant Bugard Tusk to ??? at (H-6) (North-East corner near wall/mountain).

For example, if you are fighting Ironclad type monster which is weak vs water, you use Noxious Fang as one of your atma combination to boost Grand Fall damage. If you go solo tanking for this mob, you use Noxious Fang, Ducal Guard and Minikin. Or if you are duo where MP is no problem, then Noxious Fang, Ducal Guard, and Atma of the Beyond.
