Ok! Phoenix has way too many players on it now! 5000+ players online on the same server at any given time is just too much. When you have to sit there for 60 mins in Abyssea just be to be able to fight one NM or Boss! Is just wrong. We want our server back, many event linkshells can't even have events anymore, Phoenix was already a large server why make it even bigger? I'm sorry but I think this was the worst idea ever.

...why is there a dev tag in the title?

Ya from my understanding this isnt a devloper thread. Plus I welcome the people on there. I am with a more open way of resolving a issue than just complaining. Maybe having the ??? for nms in abby always available so other groups can pop nm's also. I have had same issue with nm's who are timed spawn in abby. Making things sorta frustrtaing at times. Maybe make the timed spwans similar to the ??? you need items for to pop. I just running though ideas. Other that wanting old stuff back .... lets work with what we got and make it better. :)

Siren has remained uneffected.
Though, those DIabolosians sure do complain a lot. lol

What's wrong with Asura?

If you don't like it here, there's the door.

I'm originally from Diabolos and I have to say there's nothing about Siren I haven't liked so far.

But ya, we have some very vocal whiners.

Oh no, 5000 people in an MMO?

Oh no, 5000 people in an MMO?

Considering that we were already a busy server with a decent amount of competition with half of that number, people being frustrated is to be expected, and understandable.

The bigger problem is the server is not handling all the extra people. Busy camp areas can be handled in other ways. But how come nobody asks the obvious questions though. How can you do anything when you constantly get stuck at blacked out loading screens because the server cant handle the load? Will this be a common thing on Friday and Saturday nights? What do you plan to do in dealing with this Square Enix?

It's not that 5000 people is a problem, it's that 90% of that 5000 people are currently at the level cap doing endgame activities. Which are crowded.

It's a mess isn't it Aquilees! The lag is horrible, even SE knows that it's pretty bad when they have to send out System Messages asking people to learn a certain zone. We can only hope that SE will fix this somehow.

Sylph has on average 1800 to 2200 when I'm on playing. I wouldn't mind the extra population though. I could get more things done if there were more free hands out and about.

Asura currently has 3646 people online in all areas.

I think you guys will survive.

We had the same problem when Seraph moved to Bismarck. So many people were logged out in Whitegate that when the servers came back on, a lot of people couldn't log back in and people were being kicked/timed out.

It should eventually calm down some. Best of luck with getting things sorted and figured out with the new server. :<

2876 on Leviathan just a half-hour afterward. I'd say that's kind of the idea of the merges.

Yea of course. The idea of merges is "Our server supports X people and if we fill them we can save money on shutting down servers A, B, C.". What server merges is not about is how the game will function with that many people.

I could get more things done if there were more free hands out and about.

That is the problem. People aren't free, they are all busy working on their own Abyssea drops. 5000 needing drops from 6 zones is a tad bit crowded. (I'm still amazed the queues were so short with 2500 people)
