**Spoiler Warning For those that haven't completed all of the Wings of the Goddess Missions** Look away now!! \o.o/

Throughout the WotG missions we ultimately learn that an alternate Vana'diel exists parallel to our own, and that in the end, our beloved high spirited rag-tag comrade Lilisette will inherit the mantel of the hot headed Lady Lilith there. In an effort to jerk our heart strings, her first mission under this new mantel is to disable the gateway between our two realities, never again to reopen it's passageways, thus forever severing our visiting rights to our new found friend.... Or... does it really have to truly end this way?

In a world where nothing is impossible for the mighty Adventurer, what if Lilisette could discover a way to once again open a gateway to beckon a last ditch distress message to her most trusted partner in crime. What if things reached a boiling point on this alternate Vana'diel and she once again needed the help of Altana's best children to tip the scales in the right direction? Think of all the possibilities of new and amazing adventures we could have on the gritty grounds of the "Darker Vana'diel" with the now crowned Lady Lilisette!

One thing that I've always wanted to see is the product of a reversed Vana'diel that had Dominant Male Mithra warriors and Female-like Galka. Though these npcs would not be natives of Lilisette's Vana'diel, perhaps they could be enlisted from yet another Vana'diel reality/dimension. Perhaps they could possess something unique that their inter-dimensional cousins don't that would make them worthy of being rallied against this super Shadow Lord.

Amongst these types of reversals could be anything from the types of transportation used there, the types of NMs that plague the land, the very universal laws that govern the inhabitants and more.

Additional Ideas to support this concept:

I would love to test my metal against the meaner side of a grimmer Vana'diel as we continue to rise in level. All we need to achieve such a chance is an ultra secretly hidden Cavernous Maw that opens the way. ^^

The cutscene on Mission 56 Darkness Descends (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6XI_OzjjSo&feature=related) is where Lilith and Cait Sith reveal the truth of the matter and detail the condition of the "True Vana'diel" as it stands.

I'll be plugging in some of the imagery detailed here and more(from what I would like to see) since this is where my curiosity was originally sparked about possibly seeing the "wasteland" and all it's "devastation" described by Cait Sith. ^^

The drawing is nice, But I still have to say no to female galka. The concept of it just reminds me of that episode of futurama with the giant amazoness women.

Either way good job - your drawings are impressive - the details on neo-lilisette are very nice. I like the earring attached to her ponytail too but didn't she give that to the player at the end?

Uh, pretty sure Abyssea splits off WAY before cop. There are no crags or anything so i think it takes place way back with the Zilart and the Kuluu.

Absolutely Yes to the wings! They're magically retractable from what I remember in the cutscenes right? I'd like to think Lilisette's would be more angelic and feathery than the demon-like ones Lilith sported though.

I don't think there is any room in the story structure here for female Galka since they pretty much have NO gender. (Yes, there are going to be female Roegadyn but hey they're NOT GALKAS. See the notable lack of tails. Also they DO have genders. And they're on Hydaelyn and not Vana'diel.)

Ahh, I had an old Graphire 3 that I upgraded to an Intuos 4 this summer - it's pretty nice. I'm totally cluless when it comes to photoshop techniques and things - I use Paint tool Sai - its pretty sweet and simple, bomb-diggity for inking but I have a whole list of photoshop effect tutorials I wanna try out. It was abit weird coloring my fanfest entry with it solely so I think it looks alittle wonky. Had no expectations to win anything its just a personal acheivement cuz I've been saying for the past 3 years I was gunna enter and never got around to it.

Lol yeah this thing is my pride and joy - had to do it for a class actually haha.

Aw really? I was looking forward to seeing your entry! Ah well - and yeah I kind get what you mean. I took really strict design classes and now i'm super picky about everything to the point where I'm like "Oh man I dunno how to draw this so let me practice my anatomy and this and that and *then* I can draw!" So I don't end up drawing very much - it was actually really tough for me to get the fanfest pic finished since i was drawing new anatomy I had never done before (girls lol). I'm trying to break out of that though and just draw when the feeling hits me haha. You inspire me to draw more :D

I think there's a goblin footprint in the WoE cutscene zone but I'm not 100% on that.

Similar to Abyssea, there was alternate versions of most of the main characters, so I wonder if Prishe would be tempted to make a pact with the Dark Divinity himself for even more power? o.o The images are just too cool to pass up >< lol Must.... draw... King, I love your drawings! and I like the concept, but since new zones are out for the moment, it could be workable as a series of instanced Battlefields. Kind of like Assault. Since we know the dimensional fields are weak in The Hall of the Gods, (Per the Abyssea meetings with Gilgamesh and Esha'ntarl). That would be the place to set it up. Use each Statue as a link to a separate battlefield against opponents from Lillisette's altered timeline, and I think it could work.

/Agreed I was thinking the overall terrain would resemble our Vana'diel similar to how Abyssea does, but with a much more grim overtone to it. Battle fields would be cool too ^^

Maybe when she's starting out y'know, when she's just toying with'cha ^^ but I would think a bloodthirsty, power charged Dark version of Prishe would be a beast once unleashed against an opponent that can actually content with her :D

The shot I drew of her would be right after she'd been partially toppled, y'know like the 1st half of the battle. Right when she would get that adrenaline rush, and be happy to finally have a worthy opponent! The crazy type... @.@ /run away

I think adding another expansion to Lilisette's new world would be problematic to those who have yet to finish Wings of the Goddess. If any information leaked out that it was Lilisette's new alternative universe, people would be very confused.
While it would make for an interesting concept, I'm going to vote no.
And why would Prishe be evil?

^^ Well it would all be optional stuff to partake in like every other expansion of course, so most folks that haven't taken those first steps towards completing WotG missions would 1st have to finish those to progress and gain access to the alternate Vana'diel I'm guessing. Something like making it mandatory to having Lilisette's earring as a means to open the gateway or something.

Oh, a Dark Prishe would just be fun to see in my opinion ^^ That's not to say she couldn't be redeemed once defeated once or twice... or three times.

In terms of "altered realities" while I apologize for not reading the whole thing, one thing that I've thought would be interesting would be to use WoE as it sounds like it should've been used.
On http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/WoE it describes the zone as:

"All memories and futures that are deemed "dispensable" by Atomos are devoured, digested....and deposited in this wasteland of memories and time, the world between the worlds: the Walk of Echoes. This realm beyond the Cavernous Maws contains numerous floating structures, walkways, and stairways suspended in an empty sky, with a strange, fanged wormhole situated overhead."

Instead of something that sounds interesting from what is read in the above, we were given a same type mob with bigger mob bosses battlefield fight. Upon reading the above I always though it would be interesting to implement it almost in the sense as voidwalker is now, except more story based. Basically Atomos could call on you to be a "warden" to clean the discarded memories that have manifested in his territory and taken form as the heroes of those lost dimensions. With that in mind you could find yourself face off against something like a Zeid in PLD garments wielding the Lightbringer in a dimension in which he brought destruction through the very blade he is wielding now. By subduing this altered Zeid you would obtain a KI memory which could then be redeemed for abilities, traits, spells, combat/magic skill augments, etc.

Basically WoE could be a playground in which the adventurers find themselves synchronizing with the lore of other dimensions in order to bring order to Atomos's lair. While inside the WoE you would be able to augment yourself with little limitations, outside the territory you would be limited with how much of the "Dimensional Lore" you could augment yourself with. While in a sense it does sound like abyssea, the difference in mind that instead of attribute buffs and traits you would be "buffed" with augments abilities, new traits, access to casting certain spells on another job, traits that increase magic dmg of a certain type, upgrade of combat skills, slots to place new spells learned, etc.

I dunno it's just when you look at WoE you can see it as a definite lost of potential from what it defined itself as. Where if it were just something more then a "battlefield where you face off similiar mob types" it could've been something worthy of calling an end-game zone.

I apologize if this is off topic, but judging by what you were suggesting I would think that this may be able to tie in with what you had in mind.

In the OP, I just hinted to the possible reason we could be summoned to fight either for, or alongside the now Lady Lilisette when I said:

That "boiling point" could range from a number of reasons, and the one that strikes me as the most pertinent would be that the conflict between the Shadow Lord in Lilith's Vana'diel was never resolved. That he in fact was the most powerful being in existence over there so far as we are told. I love the quote from the cutscene where Lilith laughs at our "easy button" version of how the Crystal War was won:

Perhaps the concept you're proposing could be the handy work of the Shadow Lord's will to amass new generals against the now bolstering resistance led by Lady Lilisette. The "distress call" sent out to us could be to stop them in the dimensional hub that is the WoE before they actually reach Lilisette's Vana'diel and reek havoc on the plans to continue building up an alliance worthy of facing off with this Super Shadow Lord. I love all the additional effects and buffs you speak of as well! ^^

With that in mind you could find yourself face off against something like a Zeid in PLD garments wielding the Lightbringer in a dimension in which he brought destruction through the very blade he is wielding now. By subduing this altered Zeid you would obtain a KI memory which could then be redeemed for abilities, traits, spells, combat/magic skill augments, etc.

And thus he was born! ^^ I couldn't find the "Lightbringer" you spoke of anywhere so I just settled for two Great Swords. ^^; Coloring it now, and will update the image once finished.

Alternate Naja would be just like normal Naja: Bipolar but they'd be off-sync. While Normal Naja is being "nice", Alternate Naja is being scary and vice versa. Getting a mace thrown at your face in normal Vana? Alternate Naja is giving you a crown.

Alternate Cid...might quite possibly be the scariest thing I can think of. Alternate Cid's Teeth would be a horror that should never be seen nor drawn. Let us not forget alternate black void pants hole rip a la Cid.
